Shabbir Diwan

I am experienced in creating a wide range of illustration styles and work in a variety of mediums. The illustrations include everything from annual reports, editorial, advertising and marketing sales support. The artwork is created in conventional hand painted and rendered techniques as well as computer generated digital art. I excel at learning and mastering new techniques and dealing with assignments that challenge my talents.

Born and raised in Mumbai, India, I received my Arts degree from India’s famous J.J. School of arts. Afterward I worked as an Illustrator for the nation’s leading newspaper, The Times Of India. In 1978 I brought my family to the Unites States. Since then we have made Cleveland our home. I have worked as a professional illustrator for Bob Juzenas Graphics, Curilla and Associates and Artists Studios. I am proud to say over the years I have received many awards for both my fine art and advertising illustrations including a gold and bronze and several awards of excellence from The Cleveland Society of Communicating Arts and ADDY Awards Show. In 1989 I held an exhibit of a series of paintings titled “India’s Homeless” at Beck Center.
